General Service Technician
As a General Service Technician you will be responsible for providing quality service by performing a variety of basic automotive repair / maintenance services.
Responsibilities include:
- Oil, lube, and filter changes
- Tire Installation
- Balance and rotate tires
- Mount/Dismount tires
- Flat repairs
- Replacement of air filters, bulbs, batteries, wiper blades, etc.
- Perform courtesy/vehicle inspections
- Properly complete/fill out the customer work order
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Ensure the facility grounds are well maintained (trash picked up, etc.)
- Pick-up / deliver tires
- Pick-up / deliver customers to their work/home via the company’s courtesy shuttle
- Attend and participate in store meetings
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Comply with OSHA and EPA polices
Requirements include:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/carry up to 60 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds up to 2/3 of the work day
- Must also have the ability to lift/carry over 60 pounds and push/pull over 60 pounds up to 1/3 of the work day
- Must be able to safely operate shop equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic mechanical repairs
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, sales associates, and management
- Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company and customer vehicles
- Ability to stand for eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
